On The Brink

This blog is about more or less anything and everything that crosses my mind as being worth saying out loud. This might amount to quite a bit: a friend of mine once said, ‘Jenny, you know, you talk all the time, but you never actually say anything, do you?’. Quite right.

Meanwhile, who am I? Aged twenty, a student, impoverished (though not as much as I deserve to be given my spending habits), passably intellectual (or so I like to think) and apparently short of things to do with my time. Hence this blog. I have a tendency to spill my deepest darkest secrets on being asked, so don’t be shocked if I make the sort of revelations you’d expect the average blogger to keep to herself – though I’ll try not to. I don’t like that tendency in me.

What else can I possibly say for myself? I don’t yet know what I’ll find myself saying on here, so if I write much more about this blog I’ll soon prove this page wrong by taking an entirely different direction with this blog than I did with the last one.

I suppose what I’m saying is, to find out what this blog is about, wait and see… And also if you’re a new reader, here is a link to my first ever post on this blog just in case you feel the need to follow it from the beginning. As I write, though, there are over a hundred posts, so that’s one hell of a procrastination effort you’ve got going there… !

It might be worth checking out, though — every now and again I do manage to take a photograph worth looking at, and occasionally I write poems worth reading. I can write well and I think I would have a good eye for photography and I really would like to acquire a DSLR at some point before I die/go blind/give birth to children who would like as not fill it with chocolate bourbon biscuits  in a crazed fit of four-year-old enthusiasm.
